Career Development Coordinator—CDC

cteCareer development is a process that involves students, parents, teachers, counselors, and the community.  The goal of a Career Development Coordinator is to help students make good decisions about themselves and their future.

Access information on this page for career interest and learning styles surveys; youth employment certificates; job applications, resumes & interviews; and career planning. The Career Development Coordinator (CDC) is available to assist students withall aspects of career planning in addition to job shadowing, co-op opportunites and internships. The CDC will help students to identify a career interest to explore.  The CDC will also help Career and Technical Education teachers plan guest speakers for their classes.  The CDC works closely with the members of the staff and local business community to provide work-based learning opportunities to students and to assist with the school-to-work transition. I am here to assist students, parents, teachers, and employers. Please let me know how I can help you!

Freshmen, there are many Career and Technical opportunities available to you on the West Carteret High School!  Check out the Career and Technical Student Organizations: DECA, FCCLA, FBLA, FFA, Skills USA, Career and Technical Honor Society.  These clubs support the CTE courses and allow students to become involved in community awareness, and expose students to state and regional competitions/workshops that can lead to Scholarship Opportunities!
